Fingerprints are skin oil, and oil changes how light scatters off the stainless surface texture. On the Cybertruck's finish, an oiled patch reflects differently than the metal around it, so every print reads as a visible smudge, especially in low-angle light.
Two things make it feel worse than an appliance: the panels are huge uninterrupted planes, and you interact with the same zones every day. Door edges, the frunk lip, the tailgate, the charge port surround. Those zones build a composite haze of overlapping prints within days.
